sorry I should have been more clear, when i first posted I was looking for a simple bolt on of my new wheels but now that they are on I need to get this balance problem sorted out with my new setup.
So to aswer your question I need a shop that is familiar with large wheels and associated balance work |

+1 on kipling tire. That's where I got my winter package. Very professional.

Burlington Tire Sales in Oakville....they do a lot of work for Budds BMW. I got my aftermarket wheels with snow tires from them last year. Great experience with them.

tried both places suggested abouve, tires 23 and kipling tire, nice people there but still have a bad vibration, spent $32 bucks at 23 tires and 68 at Kipling and all I got was some more lead weights to show for it.
kipling tire seems to say its the tires, out of round in the front? good lord shit |

"Tire to wheel match-mounting The tire is positioned on the wheel so that the low point of the tire is matched to the high point of the wheel. This procedure is also referred to as match-mounting. The Hunter 9700/9712 balancing machine performs this procedure. Wheel/tire installation The wheel/tire assembly is mounted to the vehicle's hub in a manner that allows the Radial Force high point of the assembly to be neutralized by taking up the inherent clearance in the wheel-to-hub mating surface. The Hunter 9700/9712 balancing machine identifies the high point of the wheel/tire assembly. " Most of the BMW dealers has this machine. or try this link http://autotechnika.com/ONTARIOCitySelector.html Last edited by R_Mak; 04-26-2007 at 11:39 PM.. |
