Just got VIN Number
I just received my VIN number and it shows "planned for production" do you think this is a plan for this month or sometime in the future? I was told an April build and did not have a VIN last week. I guess at least the process is moving.

My car was ordered Feb. 19th - I received a producton number on March 5th, and a VIN on April 4th.
The car was built the week of April 9th and at the port by April 12th. Unfortunately at this time I have no idea where it's at now as it does not show up on the WW website, and the dealer did not return my call today.  With Canadian cars you're at the mercy of the selling dealer for updates. Oh, and don't bother phoning BMW Canada - I did and they had no interest whatsoever in reporting the status of production, and trotted out the sorry line "you'll have to talk to your dealer...". Not sure what's the point of their having a toll free "customer service line".  Last edited by MINNOW; 04-22-2007 at 11:19 AM.. |

Post this in the New car ordering and tracking forum. Everyone there is either just receiving a production date or awaiting a ship to arrive so they can unload their vehicles. You will find much more info there.

I got my VIN too !!!
Ran it on carfax as a goof and it show 1 accident. UGH man i dont even have the car yet and some german freak is driving like a maniac ! ppp
