Sounds awesome Ian ... I am getting a JB3 Stg 1 installed in a few days. I also think the N55 is fast out of the box, I just can't help but want more power. Eventually I will upgrade to a higher-end tune, I figure the JB3 is a good starting point.

Does the tune change the behavior of the throttle? E.g. when you're doing a rev-matched downshift, do you have to adjust the amount you blip the gas pedal vs. before?

And post up some more pics of your damn car soon!!

I didn't detect any change in the throttle mapping, it still has the same feel to me when blipping between gears on the downshifts. The only difference from stock is that you might be giving it 70% throttle and think that that's all she has.. then next time you give it 100%, your head is stuck to the headrest. Surprise!

I'll post up some pics soon man, I just got done installing most of my mods.. got a little bit of vinyl work to do to complete the 335is conversion, getting tips welded later this week, then stance and wheels and she's ready for the limelight!

Let me know if you've got any other questions!
Omg ... I mean, the car moves now but ... I'll post up my impressions (48 hours and counting). I'm very happy to hear the throttle maps are more or less left alone, that was my biggest unanswered question.

In addition to the JB3 I am also getting this MOFO installed at the same time:

Can't wait to see your ride, I think of all the mods I've done, wheels/tires are my favorite, take your time picking out a good set

what do you mean? JB is a pretty aggressive yet safe tune.

Nice Glad you like the JB4 is a monstA!

I've been testing the N55 JB4 for about a week now, and let me be the first (or second or third) to say that it is freakin' sweet. I thought the N55 was pretty quick out of the box, but this tune really turns it into a monster.

Install took about an hour the first time, but I could do it again in about 15 minutes. The big issue for me was that where I was going to route the USB cable through the firewall and into the glovebox, there was some sort of cover that absolutely would not budge. Instead of doing it that way, I simply ran the usb cable out under one of the grommets on the left side, and coiled it (when not in use) in the drain hole, on the "leaf catcher", and run it in through the passenger-side window when it's time to log. I may need to re-think this before it rains, but being that I'm in Houston.. no rush.

Once it was installed, everything was a snap. Navigating the menus is instantly intuitive and making changes in a snap. Some of the options include:
-Shift lights
-CANflap (awesome)
-Gauge hijacking
-On-the-fly map switching
-Code reading (helpful when I developed an intake leak)

Andrew @ EMS did a great job with his review, so I will concur and say that I'm really looking forward to setting up a more aggressive map in the future along with DP and meth to take it from mega speed up to ludicrous speed. Here are some helpful links to help with your install and setup:

Good luck all!

Hopefully it comes out looks as sharp as yours man - post some vids when you get that DP in!
F14s look great, gunmetal is the #$%^ and compliments AW nicely ... can't wait to see the beast you're creating.

I should have said a different tune.

Edit - Ian, I had my car Mustang dyno'd after the PE install (I don't think the PE does anything performance-wise): 280HP/322TQ stock. 3 runs, 90*F day. Some crazy TQ for stock (still I can't imagine PE does anything as it's mufflers ...). I'm hopefully going to get a dyno after the tune/dp install. And definitely a video.
