The building I was in was shaking pretty good. People also were freaking out a bit and the metro was a mess. All in all, it was an interesting day to say the least.

first thought was to run to check out the garage where my car is parked , then proceeded to inspect the facilities for potential structural damges ..then called my friends and family ))

Props to anyone who not only felt the aftershock last night but woke up and ran out to their car to check to make sure it was fine.

Sadly I did not hear about it until this morning on the news....so no props for me....

I was n a historic building in Old Town Alexandria. I thought there was an explosion. Everyone ran out on the street and we all realized it must have been an earthquake.

Now DC has Hurricane Irene blowing in. I am down in North Carolina, deciding whether or not to leave the beach. Doesn't make sense to drive up to home, because I would be right back in the storm. It has not hit here yet.

Earthquake

Lol I work at BMW of Fairfax. Anyone that's been there knows it's all concrete. Def not earthquake proof. I started running when I saw a 335i shaking on a lift, also when I saw tons of customers running out of the service lane LoL
