Not sure, but I want to say no .. being that the part numbers are different between the two.

Yes it will fit.

The only tricky part is if you mount the shorter cross rail on the front, one of the two screws you use to tighten the cross rail to the support feet will not be accessible via the two slots cut in the rail. To get around this, you can either:

1. Tighten one of the two screws and leave the other loose
2. Drill out an opening above the screw or otherwise extend the preexisting channel to access the 2nd screw
3. Mount the shorter rail on the rear and the longer rail on the front and you will have access to all four screws through the open channels, but just barely and you will have to do some back and forth between the cross rail position and the base screw into the roof - adjusting them to get it secured down

^great answer...I was able to mount my e90 rack on an e39 but ran into the same problem as above, the screw head doesn't line up with the slot. I just tightened the one I could reach, left the other one loose and hoped for the best.

Interesting, as when I turned in my e90 and leased an e92, I just needed to change the width of the rails a little by removing the rubber insert and loosening the screws to adjust the size. Fits perfectly.
