BMW Distribution Center Flooding?
Anyone around Bayonne, NJ who knows whether the BMW Distribution Center sustained flood/hurricane damage? I'm sure there are lots of cars there, mine among them!

No worries
I live in Millburn, NJ. 10 miles from the Distribution Center. My car was taken off the boat last Thursday, 8/25. I was worried sick all weekend. Got a call today that the car is at the dealership waiting pick up.

It baffles me that some cars come in and are sent to dealers quickly while others take weeks. My car arrived on 08/12 and has been at the port for two and a half weeks. And I am VERY worried about my car.
Lezam: Was your car delivered today?

Thanks much. I've been asking this question for days and this is the first time I've heard this. I appreciate the info.

I will take delivery in Louisville, KY when I return to the states in a couple of weeks (I am in the military overseas and purchased the car through the military sales program). It has been difficult communicating with both the dealer and BMW NA and why I reached out to the forum for the info.

listen, i lived in bayonne for more years than i wish to admit to, and i still have family that works at and around the peers, your car is fine, calm down.
those bays do flood, but they also dont park cars in the those bays for anything other than short term. also the cars that have to pass through customs, dont come anywhere near anything that floods.
