Is your E9x your daily driver?

Thankfully, I'm not forced to use my E92 as my daily driver (particularly since I work 50 miles from where I live) and I'm interested to know how many others on the board have a DD other than their E9x. Right now, my DD is a '93 525i but that may be changing in the very near future. Not sure what I'll replace my road warrior E34 with, but since she's got 223k miles on her I want a backup DD just in case.

I DD my 335i.

Why wouldn't you?

I don't get this sentiment. I know the car keeps its value better the less you drive it, but the point of a car is to drive it, not to look at it in the garage. I guess 50 miles is a pretty long commute, but if I was in that situation I'd rather spend it in my BMW even if it did end up costing me in depreciation and warranty loss sooner.

Yeah but it sucks because I work only 8 miles from home and its traffic the entire way to and from work downtown. My high speed is 40mph... Poor 335 Only use her potential on weekends :/

heh, the whole reason I bought the bmw was to have a comfy daily driver. My old DD was getting too old (255k miles), and my fun car isn't very fun as a daily driver.

My E93 is my daily driver and my only car. I work at home so the milage is low thus far on this six month old baby - At 4,500 now. I do miss my truck, BUT I find this thing to be handy hauling big stuff home from Lowe's. I merely line the backseat with a really thick blanket and can pile the plants, landscaping stuff, and other doo dads back there...top down of course. It's my truck/car and a great daily driver.

My E91 will my daily driver (replaced an '08 Saab 9-3 SportCombi), but I do have a "beater" '95 Volvo 945 that I use like a truck. Home Depot runs, driving in downtown Boston, will probably drive it when the roads are really bad too. It's nice to have a car that you utterly don't car about cosmetically.

I have a Triumph Spitfire, an Alfa Romeo Spider, and an Alfa Romeo GTV 6 for when the sun is shining and I just want to go for a drive.
