what to do with removed OEM parts after installing mods?

Assuming they are in good condition and you plan on keeping the car for a while (e.g., it's not a lease), has anyone had luck in selling their OEM parts removed from their car after installing new mods? (bumpers, side skirts, exhaust system, intake, rims, etc.)? e90Post ... Craigslist ... body shops ... ?

Or have you stored them for potential future use or in case you sell the car? or do you just bite the bullet and trash/recycle them?

LOL fuck that I wouldn't throw them out!

I'm about to get the PE for my car and I'm going to keep my stock exhaust just in case I sell my car in the future. You can always part out your car before you sell it and make some of the money back!

I know, I thought the same thing when I wrote the thread ... "WTF, throw then out?" Unfortunately, I'm in a condo with absolutely no storage space, so to keep anything I'd need to rent a storage room, and that's $75/mon for the cheapest 5'x5'x8' room! So getting rid of everything is the only real option. I think I'll try e90Post's classified section and see what happens.

This for sure. I still have all of my OEM parts, and I'm glad I kept them, because now I'm thinking it's time to trade up next year Damn me and my commitment issues!!

I hear ya. It'd be nice to keep 'em for that reason. Unfortunately, no relatives within a couple thousand miles, and everyone I know in Vancouver lives in a condo or has a garage the size of a closet.

I would find somewhere to keep them...even if it's just having some boxes stacked in a corner in your condo. You get nothing for oem parts and it's a pain in the ass to sell them, buy them back, and then sell your aftermarket parts just to sell the car later.

I'd say you sell it. When you want to go back to stock, you can always find people in the same situation as you are now...
