E91 trunk spoiler removal
Hello gentlemen,
does anybody know, how to remove roof trunk spoiler on the 5th door BMW E91 LCI MY 2011??? Thanks a lot ;o) Radek |

The members here mostly north americans. They don't drive wagons. There is a small percentage of us that own them. So you are asking at the wrong place I guess.

Pre-LCI here, but I'm going to guess that your car has a similar arrangement.
I'd start with removing the 4 plugs (2 on the left side shown in the photo, below...there are 2 more on the right side) and then the screws underneath. The spoiler will probably come right off. Don't know what you'll do about the 4 holes left in the hatch so far as covering those up....assuming your intent is to go without the spoiler. You'll also lose the 3rd brake light, which is part of the spoiler (it appears). See also http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...84&hg=41&fg=60 the REAL OEM link for the parts diagram. Just removed my last weekend. The plugs need to pry very hard. 2 Torx screws on the outter plugs and 2 plastic rivet on the inner plugs. Also one 10mm nut on the center plugs. Gently lift the front center part of the spoiler (to clear the stud) and slide the spoiler backward. |
