Sensor Above Driver's Footwell
Took off panel above driver's feet and found three items attached to it - speaker (that apparently is connected directly to the BMW Assist module), interior light and some sort of sensor...
Anyone know what the sensor is for? |

I removed that same panel a long time ago, and if I remember correctly, the bluetooth antenna connected to it, as well as a comfort access sensor. It was awhile ago, though, so I might be wrong.

There are 3 things attached to it (4 if you count a light) according to the dealer, the speaker is for BMW Assist, the small flat box is an antenna (likely the bluetooth you referred to) and another wire goes to what I thought was some sort of sensor but they say is a microphone. There is a square hole on the panel that the assembly snaps into but the part that fills in the hole does not appear to have any holes in it for sound to reach inside.
Just looking for second opinions (or a parts diagram that says exactly what they are and do). |
