I know it's been asked before... 335i vs M3

Hi all, I currently own an 2007 E92 335i step auto, prem+spt pkg with dinan 1 and love the car. Saw and test drove an E92 M3 full load manual. Very different feel. The car is a 2008, with 10k less mileage of my current car... Contemplating whether I should explore the M side... I can probably afford the increase in payments, and I will probably never track it... What should I do?

If you can afford it obviously go with the ///m3.

I don't know :O

Did you consider the M3 when you were going with the 335i? Was money tight back then, and are you financially set right now for whatever your needs may be in the future? I'm sure you can go with the M3, but I think you should consider tuning your car. I'm not sure if it is, but I'm just throwing that out there.

They want to go from a 2007 to a 2008, a 5 y.o. car to a 4 y.o. car. imho knowing that a BMW warranty is 48 mos., and assuming you're the original owner of the 2007, why in the world would you ever do that? It's as if there's reassurance that it will be ok, from the forum, that is sought after. Well, it will not be ok, from a financial standpoint, nor a sensibility standpoint. You want a M3, buy it new, don't sell yourself short. If you can't afford it today, save up, get a better job, strive for it.

And I agree, these 335 v. M3 threads are silly. M means king. M means awesome. M means you get a special section on the forum to talk with your M buddys. I once posted there and it was like GTFOH you financial lightweight.

Are we to understand that the OP is still making payments on a 2007? That says enough in itself.
