Is This Normal (Video)

I noticed this trim piece was "loose" on my roof where it meets the windshield seal. Perhaps it's due to excessive heat? 110 degree almost every day this summer...

I know, not the greatest video, but it gives you an idea what I'm seeing:

Will the dealer fix this under warranty or is there even anything to fix? Just doesn't seem right.

No that's definitely not normal. At least my car doesn't do it. In fact, I've never seen a car where trip pieces were designed to wiggle that much.

Have the dealer look at it.

Mine was broken on the rear near the back glass. I just put RV grade high heat silicone and had weight on it overnight and viola! The dealer wanted 400 to fix...

Negative....had the car since it wtas new, so unless it was broken during shipment and the dealership didn't tell me. My car still had the plastic on the seats and the cardboard in the doors when I picked it up 1 day after delivery.

Mine are also like that. It's not like BMW is good at windowsills so what makes you think that they have the time to make sure that piece is secure?

Whats wrong with YouTube? Yeah, mine has that. BMWs aren't Japanese. Don't except amazing build quality, just better than America.
