Shadowline Trim Not Available for US Coupes

I have a white 2012 coupe with M sport package coming oct delivery... And not coming with shadow line trim, I thought when u get m sport package it automatically comes with shadowline trim... I hate chrome but can live with it I guess on a white car as it blends in more than it would on let\'s say a black car... So I\'m assuming the M6 will also have no shadow line right??

I have been asking about the same thing. It seems so odd that Shadowline trim isn't being offered in the US when it is available in other markets.

I'm looking at a Carbon Black coupe, and the chrome surround really doesn't work with that car.

I normally prefer Shadowline trim, but I think this car is a particular exception and it suits chrome very well, especially with the darker colours.
It gives it that classic and luxurious Riviera boulevard cruiser look.

Quite rediculous actually, but Ive seen many pix of the M6 and they do offer the shadowline, so it will be the case that you may have to wait for the M to be offered to order the replacement parts, the chrome is just hideous, imo.

Some of the photos of Euro edition F13 6 cars with the M Sport aero package have had shadowline trim. But what they import to US is often different in this kind of detail.

For US, maybe will be M6 only.

Ok! So if the M6 comes and has showline trim I can replace the brushed aluminum on my 650?? Btw it's not chrome guys it's brushed aluminum, just got a close look at a 650 vert in the showroom...

My other option was going to do a matte black vinyl on top of the brushed alum to replicate the shadow line trim, but I'd rather replace the parts...

In the UK and, I guess, Europe too, there are three choices - 1. Polished aluminium (chrome look) as standard, 2. Shadowline and 3. Matte (brushed) aluminium. 2 and 3 are optional at extra cost.

even better is that the previous post notes that shadowline is already available in the UK, so you may be able to order the part before the M6 comes out. I cant see BMW NA holding this back for long though, it doesnt make any sense to not offer the shadowline in the first place
