Anyone with Blue Carbon Fiber Trim?

I've been looking for some vinyl to redo my interior trim. I found a bunch of good info by searching, but I've not seen any done with blue carbon fiber, although maybe there is a reason for that lol

Anyway, I like the CF look, but I also wanted something that would stand out a little bit more. I KNOW that I don't like how any plain glossy colors look, so I thought blue CF would look a little nicer.

Anyone have thoughts on this? Or even better, has anyone done it?

I was considering this vinyl:
http://www.metrorestyling.com/Blue-M...3d48inblue.htm

Would not be a horrible mistake if it turned out that I really don't like it, but don't want to waste the time and money if someone has a picture so I can see it.

I did a quick photoshop job of a CF interior I found somewhere on here.

**EDIT** Just to make it more clear, this is not my interior so I know nothing about the radio.....

Let me know what your thoughts are.

that could go well with a white or black car if keeping the theme throughout, blue calipers etc

Oh that's not mine, just a picture of a car I found with regular CF trim. I have iDrive.

It's bold but I like it. I think it can definitely work. I like the radio / dash layout in the pic you found...very clean.

Personally not fond of the look. Stands out way to much. The interior should be subtle IMHO.

Def stands out, might flow better if you have other blue accents in the, but definite props for originality

Well I ordered a sample of the material, probably won't get it until next week. I don't think I got to close on the color in my photoshop job, so I will see what it looks like in person soon enough!

Got some Def Lepoard playing on that tape deck?

That would definately stand out, especially if you color matched your paint.

It looks dope and stands out great. If your car is outside blue and the interior
black you should definitely go for it!!

a theme on the inside or overall? I was thinking blue accents was a theme - my new rims will be here at the end of the month with Blue lip and wheel, black spokes. so the whole car will be blue and black. I did not want plain blue inside, but nothing else on my car will be carbon fiber. I think that a plain shiny blue color would look a little odd.

I just realized your car is blue. So I think it will flow, expecially with the blue lip on the wheels.

Maybe do the center of the iDrive knob as well. And maybe pedals.....that might over do it though.

I agree, the CF stands out too starkly; something like I did in my old JCW MINI, I had blue inserts added to the doors, and added blue floormats and shift boot:

took a few iPhone pics with the blue carbon fiber sample. I am pleased that the color is a darker blue. I am pretty much convinced that I want to do it, now it is just a matter of ordering it and finding the time :-)
