People who have lemoned cars...
just curious, when exactly is it reasonable to get a car lemoned?
My moms car is at the dealer for the 3rd time, of course (no warranty) and it has now been there for 2 weeks. They cannot figure out the problem imo, they have changed countless things and mis-diagnosed the problem the 2nd time we brought it in.. so what do you guys think? |

The lemon law in Florida is for new cars and the problems have to be reported in the first 24 months. The way it works in Florida is that you have to take in the car in at least 3 times for the same issue. This issue has to be a major issue or you have to have the car at the dealer for at least 30 days. New cars come with a lemon book that explains the process. If you decide that your car meets the requirements then you have to fill out some paperwork and send it in. They have a certain amount of days to respond and then they have one last chance to fix the issues and it has to be performed in a certain amount of days. From your post it shows the car is out of warranty so the lemon law is not going to apply.
