Washer Tank

Sorry don't really know what to call the tank/bottle/container that holds all my washer fluid. But does anyone know where it is located and how easy or hard it is to get too?

My problem is that I use a green washer fluid and have found some on the garage floor right in the spot where I think the tank is. And I know I haven't spilled any. Any ideas??? The tank itself is leaking or maybe some other part?? And looked on realoem.com but couldn't find the part number.

Are you trying to remove it?
If so, you have to remove the whole pass side fender.

If it helps...

I know it is a different model, but in my former e39 the tank was all along the passengerīs side inner fender. I had to change the tubing, since the original one had cracked up, and when following the line to see where it ended, I had to remove, at least partially, the inner part of the fender. I was able to connect the new line without taking it out completely, but I would guess that the tank for an e90 would be in a similar place, and maybe will need to remove that piece of plastic completely to take it out. There was this link also:

Watch page 2 for a picture of the tank in a M3, guess it would be the same on yours. Hope it helps.

I'm pretty sure mine is leaking, too. What a stupid design.

I took mine out on my 325. It's hard to get to but easy to actually remove, if I remember right it was held on by one bolt!

The washer pump can also be the cause. They tend to leak through a weep hole at the side of the pump.

^ I agree. That's very common too.
But check the hose first.
