335iS to M3?

Hey guys, let me preface what I'm about to ask by saying that I absolutely love my 335iS and have no complaints so far.

However, I was recently presented with an opportunity to trade my car for a used 2010 e92 M3 with 20k miles on it. The M3 is pretty much identically packaged to my 335iS. Both have Premium, Winter, Sat, Bluetooth, and a sunroof. The only difference on the M3 is that it has 19s vs. my 18s.

They are willing to wipe me on my trade and when all is said and done, the M will be about $50 more per month with zero out of pocket. I've posted some pics of the M below.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the input so far guys. I think I'm going to head back down there tomorrow to take another look at the car. My only concerns are:

1) I'm trading a car with roughly 4k miles for one with 20k miles

2) The M3 I'm looking at has the sunroof instead of CF roof

I know these are small concerns, but I just want to let you guys know what's going in to my thought process.

I'd still do it. Besides, that CF roof is a massive liability and inconvenience if it gets damaged - you're better off without it.

Lol, dude, 20k is nothing. It's an M3... and you're saying 19s over 18s like it is a bad thing, haha.

Get it while the opportunity is there, you will regret it in the future.

Either the M3 is really cheap or your 335iS was over priced

Haha, no the 19s are definitely a good thing. I was just trying to point out the differences.

I actually got a decent deal on my 335iS, the deal on the M3 is just very good from what I've seen out there (less than 50k).

If it makes financial sense to you, and that is really what you want. The 335is got old that quickly? If I was in this situation I would be upset I didn't make the correct decision on the original car purchase.

Sounds like you're going from a new car to a used car. You have to be taking a loss somewhere, had you purchased the m3 to begin with there would be quite a bit of savings comparing the two scenarios.

Assuming you know that, and it will not bother you, go for it. Of course insurance and gas go up on the M3 as well.

This car will also be out of factory warranty at least a year sooner than your current car. The 2010 M3 at 20k miles must be around 2 years old, and only 2 years of warranty left.

yea i would do it without question, the m3 has more miles but 20k is still pretty low. the only thing that sucks is it doesnt have the cf roof which makes it look like an M3 conversion.

Seriously.... you probably spend more than $50 on Starbucks each month anyways. Get the M3 and don't look back.
