Gold Plug

Great place to get magnetic drain plugs for many applications. I've run their plugs in approx 6 vehicles over a few years with no issues. These guys rock, very strong magnet. Not the cheap stuff you find in the local parts store.

Just ordered one. About to do my intermediate oil change. Excited to see what it may pick up.

I have an N52. The big claim to fame is how much Magnesium/Aluminum was used in it.

What internal components of the N52 are ferrous? Obviously the majority of my engine wont be attracted to a magnet, but is the crank steel? Bearings, camshafts etc?

Anyone know which parts are not aluminum/ magnesium?

Grant. Post pics of the actual piece you get. The ECS ones are notorious for coming apart.

I got gold plugs for my Lincoln Daily Driver. It pulled quite a bit on the first change. Trans plug goes in @ 60k service.

Look very solid and the magnet seems strong.
Ordered a set for my old VW DD as well.

FYI: 2 washers on the bolt since I ordered a spare with it

Thanks for the photos. It looks like high quality. Does it look like the magnet is able to fall out like the ECS ones?
