HELP!!! Avant Garde M310's Just curbed!! Any recommendations?
My coworker just curbed one of my new rims today at lunch. I know it's my fault for letting him drive the car so please don't flame me. The damage is about 6-8 inches long and not very deep. Any of you guys have an luck with rim repair? Or should I just buy a new rim. My coworker wants to pay for it but I'm not sure what the best route is. If any of you guys have any experience with this please let me know what is the best thing to do. I can get another rim for a little more than $220. I'm assuming repair will cost $100+.
Thanks in advance |

I know I was super pissed at first then I calmed down because I realized he will be the one to pay for it.

It dont seem like youre on stretch tires, im making a survey on who curb wheels on normal vs stretch tires. So far the guys on square meaty tires tend to have more curb rashes vs the stretched ones (this includes all the wheels fs threads)...the irony lol. Thats very repairable prolly under 150.

Yup 65mm is the correct size. I'll post the link up tomorrow at work. I just got them from a seller on eBay in Hong Kong. They fit perfectly and only took about a week to get.

Ended up ordering a new rim. Will have it here by next week. When it't not me paying the decision was easy. Thanks guys for the help. I guess I have a rim for sale now!

Another reason not to let your girlfriend/girls in general drive your car. I am not saying your coworker was a woman, but women are not thinking about avoiding curb rash when parallel parking your car.
