Question about going to bmw power kit from aftermarket tune

I am wondering if BMW power kit actually
case 1: writes entirely new software to DME (replacing current software) or
case 2: does it just modify some values from current software version (like what aftermarket tuners do).

For example, if I have aftermarket ecu tune on my car, do I need to load stock software then get bmw power kit for trouble-free installation (if case 2).
Or can I just go directly to bmw power kit since it is going to re-write entire software anyway (case 1).

Also, do you know if performance power kit flash actually increase boost value?

Works better? What's wrong with it? Too bad you can't trade flashes to other people...

Pretty much what I said in my other post. Not enough power with low boost, error codes, long time to fix issue from tuner, and etc.

I am either going with power kit or turn it back to stock and use jb4 until GIAC come out with something.

BMW PPK hardware - is all i want.
price alone for those 2 items aux water cooler
and upgraded radiator fan - may just be worth the price.

and a sticker and a tune on top of it.
stack ur piggybacks, i say.
