I would think 4 years later you guys would be in the 7-800 whp range, whats the deal? has anyone slapped a huge single on there yet?
cmon my old e36 m3 can make 600whp with just a head gasket and big turbo kit. anyways what would be the best setup now after all the trial and errors learned these past years? Do you guys think I can match my e55s power band? here is my e55s power band on 93 oct and the way I drive it every day. What would it take to beat or match it.I have about 6k to put into the 335 if I buy the one im eying. here is my e55 Last edited by grkm3; 09-29-2011 at 08:46 PM.. |

its weird. not a lot of good hardware has come out lately. we've been stuck at 400 +/-whp & 11s quarter mile mark for awhile
I just don't know why an affordable TD04 swap for our cars hasn't been produced. |

I had a very modded e36 m3 and that platform was taken all the way up to 1000whp,I would of thought buy now there would be some serious power out of that perfect inline 6.
is it the injectors thats holding it back?I remember that they were some new direct setup and not a lot of options out there. |

If you're going to replace everything, why buy a 335? Seems like a waste of money IMHO if you're going to replace everything that distinguishes it from a 328...

All the big turbos in the world wont make a bit of difference without aftermarket companies stepping up the fuel delivery, (rails..injectors, HPFP, LPFP)..just a question if there are companies out there willing to spend on the R&D for that to cater to what is most likely a small market

Best you can get right now is 500-525 hp with FBO, Meth, Race Gas, and Upgraded Turbos. Pray for cold temps for the glory run
Tune/Meth = $1000-1200 FBO = $2000-3000 Upgraded Turbos = $3300 It's going to be tight with a $6,000 budget. Not to mention you will need other supporting mods to put that power to the ground and not break anything.

If I were to do it it would be a gt40 or 45r.
Its a kleemann tune with a BUNCH of bolt ons.I am hitting the dyno again next week as I put on a bigger throttle body and its supposed to pick up 35-40whp top end. My car is actually a weak E55 lol theres E55s with 670whp and like 660rwt |

if you have an n54 with forged internals, 500-600whp is possible without new internals. I'm not sure if I'm sold on going single turbo like many have stated. I guess if I were running track only...but large single turbos are not great for driveability. Part of the reason BMW opted for two smaller turbos. |
