Talking 135i nearly cracks 12s @6k ft(Bandimere)...Thanks Vishnu!

Having just got my Rev 2.5 vishnu + PWM meth kit setup dialed in for local conditions I figured I'd take advantage of the last day of open runs at Bandimere and see how it runs today. Was super crowded so was only able to get one run in, but was very pleased with the results.

13.06 @ 111.75

Not bad for a track at 5800ft and the first time I've ever launched a RWD car at the strip. (vishnu traction control set to 50 helped here for sure)

Will post the slip in the 1/4mile section shortly and link to it here...

Setup:
2009 135i FBO
stock turbos @14.5 psi (UT 45%)
0% IC
75/25 Meth/water
50% 91oct + 50% 104oct
19" Falkon tires
Ambient temps ~70F

Just for some perspective of how slow this track is...
Last gen Mustangs (not the current model 5.0) stock will run low 15s and current Gen Camaro SS stock will typically run high 14s at this track

Turn off the traction and stability, try to launch as hard as you can without smoking the tires. Your 60' time needs to be 1.9 or better. With a good launch you should have run 12.8. So your there, just keep practicing your launch. Good run.

Thanks guys! Yea, high 12s are definatley in reach. I did not push the limit on my setup since its mostly geared as summer DD.

I've heard that at least 2 folks have run 12s at bandimere with N54 cars, but havn't been able to confirm that. The best I've been able to find searching here and on N54tech was low 13s and ~107 traps

That's correct, I ran a 12.9 @ 107ish in an E90 awd AT on 91 meth FBO and the other guy ran a 12.9 @ 111ish I think in an E92 rwd AT on race gas, mostly FBO.

I'm eager to see what a lighter 135 can do next season.

Very nice! Its been over 2 years since I've been to Bandi before yesterday and the 335s back then were no where near 12s. I'll have to gear up for a few glory runs in the Spring, LOL

I didnt run much better at Vegas then I did here, my traps were a tick higher and I was running high 13's with just jb+, but the track prep was horrible there at LVMS. None of us CO guys did that much better then we do up here, except our friend in his E92 m3. He was running ALOT better.

Altitude sucks.
