Buying advice E91 320d Sport Plus + options or 330d M Sport

#]Hi Guys,

I'm after a bit of advice...can't decide between -

E91 320d Sport + Pro Nav + Xenons + etc etc

or

E91 330d M Sport with only Pro Nav and Leather - wouldn't be able to stretch any further.

My head keeps saying 320d SP, but heart keeps saying 330d

Any advice/experiences would be welcomed.

Edit: Both would be new. Effectively funding with company car opt out...320d is £500 deposit and 420pm. 330d is 500 deposit and £510 pm. GFVs are surprisingly similar after 48m. £12200 (320d SP) vs £12700 (330d).

In reality would the 330D be worth much more in 48m, getting more equity?

330d. End of.

Well really you should go out and test drive them both. What is more important to you performance wise? 330d is a hell of a lot quicker than a 320d - but you pay for it, as you've found out.
After trying the 330d you may suddenly "find" the funds for the extras you want

330d....if you found one with xenons it would be great, makes it stand out from all the others as not many E90/91s have them...after driving both I dont know how you could settle for a 320d!!

If you can get pro nav on the 330d, then go for that.

I prefer the Antarctica seats to leather - had them on my company sport.

Is this a company car or a lease?

330d all day long.

I was in such a similar frame if mind. I decided upon the 4pot with toys. Reason I guess was cheaper running costs and really liked the xenon's pronav gadgets and the nagging feeling I probably shouldn't have it all as the kids will one day ask to go to uni! Kids are normally in the car anyway, so there you go talked myself out of it...... Damn. Either way you will enjoy your car, it's a compromise and the only other option is win win and get it all responsibilities allowing, unlike me!

I've had both and they are both god cars but if you can afford it it is a no brainer 330d all the way. The performance is so much better. If you are not bothered about performance then the 320d will be fine.

What everyone else said

If the performance is important to you, no amount of xenons and gadgets will compensate for the power difference.
If it's not, then absolutely, 100% go for the 320 with toys

330D.

Arguably the best all rounder in the 3 series range, IMO.

330d. And for me it's not only the performance, but the smoooooooothness of the delivery and the sophistication - it's in a different league.

I wouldn't want to give up on Xenons though - might even consider not having pro Nav and getting an iPhone station in it's place if it meant I could have the Xenons and a 330d.

I think the 320d will be worth more at the end of the 3 yrs - 330d does not seem to be shifting in the second hand market - just have a look at prices of 3 yr old cars now......

Inclusive of VAT...PCP deal with 10K per anum.

Thats with an 8K circa discount off the 330d matching the Broadspeed price. I'm presuming that's about as good as it gets discount wise?

Also 330d's are much rarer. How many 320d's are there on the road? Probably 80-90% of E9x is my guess. Good car no doubt and very economical - but if you're going to buy a BMW - get a proper one and stand out from the rest.

If BMW didnt make 6 cylinder models with the associated perfomance I'd probably not have bought one.

don't bother with leather. Seriously. Esp if you cant get heated seats.

Get a 330d with Media prof and a few other extras, using what you would have spent on leather... (hi-fi upgrade for starters).

Personally i would get the 330d, Ive owned 2 335ds a 330d and driven a 320d, and although the 320 was decent enough, its not a 6 cylinder and didnt suit the car IMO.

Thats a matter of personal preference. For me, leather is at the top of the list. The car doesnt seem like a BMW without leather.

If you're not a total raging homo whos balls are in his mums handbag, you'll buy the 330. If youre a pussy who cant handle a half decent engine, get a 320D.

Did that help?

Bwahahaha!

But yeah, I'd get the 330d. I had a 320d before and I was ALWAYS kicking myself that I ddn't wait until I found the right 330d. Now I'm commited to a 330d but am wondering if I should wait for a good 335d!!
