Re-wiring Vishnu Meth Kit to Trunk?

Hi there

Just interested if anyone has re-hosed/wired their Vishnu meth kit to the trunk?

If anyone would like to share how they did it, any parts needed (tank of course) that would be great as I'm looking to do the same.

Thanks

Tank, 15 foot of meth tubing and run it into the engine bay. It's not so hard.

Since you have a E93 this may help you...Look at this guys install

I think the only thing is running the meth line to the trunk but I like the way the guy utilized the space for his meth tank on his vert. Wiring will still remain the same in the engine bay.

Didn't realise it was so easy thanks,

Might use the same space actually to keep it out of the way, I don't really use my boot for much, other than when i install my sub into it, but thats about it really.

To be honest I think once you install meth, you will be more prone to check the meths system pretty regularly and to worry about running out of meth from a 2.5 gallon tank, I think you would not! I am not sure about running it to the Procede but I do know that you can install it and have a led light up in the cabin area to let you know that the tank is empty...I read the thread on the E93 meth install and indeed you can fit the 2.5 gallon tank in there, but it will be tight!

Hahah you know what, in hindsight the Low Level indicator may just be a tad OTT, i agree I probably won't need it, but it can't hurt its only £20.

If you have a link to the thread with the install then let me know, ill try to find it. To be fair i think ill just mount it in the trunk, as mentioned i don't use it really.

Sadly cheaper looking interior. Far less wood trim and far more plastic. Very sad. Love my LCI.

OP-- I think you'll be happier with using the underhood washer bottle. Much easy to monitor since the entire meth kit is visible from under the hood inspection. You also re-use the factory low level light that flashes on the dash when meth runs low. The only thing you give up is windshield washing effectiveness since the meth/water fluid won't have glycol and other cleaning agents. But it will still clean reasonably in a pinch. But you will find yourself cleaning your windshield manually more often at gas stations. But the ease of meth use/installation/upkeep (whatever that is) is worth it, IMHO.

I am sure once Cobb has incorporated a meth map you will hook your shit up again! As for the engine WW tank I just dont feel comfortable running anything more than 50/50 mix but as you know alot of people run much much more than that, somewheres from 70/30 to 80/20 to 100 meth which I am not comfortable with it since the WW tank is right underneath or near the DPs...Its just my opinion though and I would rather run a trunk mounted tank period..

I think that is a common misconception. The WW tank is located between the unibody and the outer fender cover. It's really no where close to the downpipe and is separated by a layer of steel and another layer of heat insulation. Really no where close to the downpipes. Of course, everyone will have different levels of risk aversion so there are different mounting options for different people.
