After having owned a wrapped car, I would never put a car especially a 1M through that hell again.

I'd also be interested in the downsides. I would seriously consider doing a wrap depending on the cost, unless there is some huge disadvantage in terms of car care, paint damage, etc. Seems like the perfect paint protection for resale value, frequent track use, or simply for somebody like me who has no desire to spend multiple hours a week keeping BSM spotless. Not buying the car for its looks...

There aren't much downsides, its easier to maintain, protects the paint. The only downside would be taking off the vinyl, someone who is not experienced may ruin the paint when taking it off.
