Best wax to use on everyday car?

I got my 3 last week, and after a week it wasnt dark monaco blue, but whitish blue. After washing with armor all car wash concentrate, it of course returned to its usual color, but this is a car that i am going to be keeping outside for the entirety of its life.

Whats a good solution for this situation? I presumably need a wax that will provide the greatest shine and protection for the longest period of time and that can handle heavy sun, cold weather, rains, snows, etc. I am currently using armor all car wash concentrate to do the exterior washing, and in a few weeks will probably start applying some of the zymol i have left over. Anyone have any better suggestions for this paint type?

I use the Klasse Twins and top it off with Meguiar's #16. The Klasse SG lasts very long. When the Meguiar's #16 is applied, the water just flies off when you drive.

If you want a wax that lasts long, go with a polymer based wax or sealant. Carnuba wax is great but just doesn't last that long.

For car wash concentrate, I use Meguiar's NXT Tech soap.

Zaino is a bit pricy, but so far it looks quite awesome and looks like to protects well.. Use RainX on the windows too!

For washing I use Meguiars Gold class shampoo, for wax: Mothers Reflections (synthetic) or Sywax FX. You could top it off with Meguiars #26 (they stopped making #16) for a deeper shine and more durability.

Depends how often you want to wax the car. If you are going to be waxing the car frequently then you can probably use something like Zymol that has a heavy wax content. If longevity is the desire then Meguirs NXT Generation synthetic waxes may be more to your liking.

Zaino, Klasse twins i would say are the top two for durability and protection. I personally like Zaino better. Chris

They did stop making #16 a few years ago but than they brought it back. I bought some a few months ago. Did they discontinue #16 again?

My understanding is that #16 is no longer manufactured. Some stock is still available but once gone, its gone. Meguiars does not list it on their website.

Try Zymol Field Glaze. I use it after evry car wash and is easy. Just spray on and wipe off. Quick and easy in my opinion.

Try Klasse, it is very easy to apply and remove and lasts a very long time. I usually go about 9 months between waxing.

I think you're right. I remember reading that somewhere.

S100 is an excellent carnauba wax, the only thing is that it does not have any cleaning/polishing properties. If going this route, you may need to use a polish once in a while to remove contaminants in between waxing. A good combination could be Klasse AIO topped with S100. Let us know what you end up using and about your results. Also pics if possible.

S100, like many carnubas are also not durable. Be prepared to wax every 3 weeks if you wish to maintain any semblence of protection on your paint.

Carnubas have the best shine/reflective glow esp for darker colors. problem is that it rubs/oxidizes off very quickly and is a pain in the ass to apply.

Most of the newer synthetic waxes/polishers are polymer based. Zaino is the one of the best that builds up the polymer from frequent use.

Klasse is an acrylic based sealant. It last a long time as mentioned previously. Has a good shine, and can be used with a carnuba placed over the AIO and SG for best effect.

I don't have too much time to wash/polish car, so I ususally use the Klass 2x a year and only give it a wash 1-2 times month.

Stuff is amazingly easy to put on.
