The distance we will go:
There has been a lot of post about people going great distance to pick up a 1M. Can we start a little thread detailing the distance and routes? And any fun stories?
I\'ll start Live in Charlotte, bought in Myrtle Beach (they had ordered the car for their show room and it was just as I wanted it m3 adjuster shared the contact). Flew down with the wife after working a night shift (cheap flight) and drove back 172 miles. Caffeine and excitement kept me awake for most of the drive. Turned the wheel over to the wife for the last hour of the drive. Flying into myrtle beach is scary. You come in very very low over the ocean can\'t see the land and just see ocean getting closer and closer to the plane. |

I picked up my BSM stripper (heated seats & Sat radio only) on Tuesday in Connecticut and drove it home 950 miles to Tybee Island, GA over 2 days. Stopped in Maryland in between to visit with my folks.

My situation worked out perfectly for me (being in Charlotte). I got a tip from a dealer in Raleigh that there were only two 1M allocations available at that time, ready to be spec'ed and ordered according to my wants. I called P&W in Pittsburgh. They've been GREAT! I ordered the car, and then found out that I could do PCD. I scheduled for PCD, picked up the car and drove back to Charlotte. I programmed all back roads (no highway), so that I could run-in the car at varying speeds/intervals. Perfect!

Picking up via PCD in S.C. on November 2 - driving it to Dallas (Haven't checked the specific mileage yet but I'm not planning to be home until Friday night or Saturday and plan to take some smaller roads so its not all interstate).
