This kit is awesome....I have it and the install was very straight forward. You can find directions online.

Its not mine, but I'll chime in....

the part you are looking at sits BEHIND the tinted lens.When powered up, the color (for the numbers and bars) matches the dash and looks factory!

If you look closely, the picture is of the back side of the vent because its a left hand drive gauge.

Ok so the other side of the vent slats is black? if OP could chime in and verify I would be interested...

sorry, just saw all the messages. It's completely black. it's the camera flash that makes it look grey. Very simple to install. Took me around 20 min or so.

and i believe you can dim the brightness if need be... from what i remember, i always kept it on one setting.

I will give you $100 which is what P3 is giving for them when you trade them in for V2.

I have not changed the dimming feature...

$100 is a laughable offer. P3 is doing that to alleviate the costs of (repeat) purchasing V2. The asking price is good.
