Rights to a 1 Series M
Hi guys, i have the rights to a 1M in New Jersey. The car has not arrived at the dealership yet. Its a fully loaded alpine white. The Dealership wants $60,000 before taxes. I cannot afford it due to any reasons, but lmk if you're interested. "One mans loss is another mans gain".

You have the "right" to buy it for $8000 over MSRP? Not saying it's a bad deal considering current market trends but I'd hardly consider it a huge leg up on the other 1M seekers.

Well in my neighborhood, the alpine white is seen rarely and ive had dealers tell me they wanted $20,000 over msrp. Its not that bad.

its about $5500 over msrp, which is about the going rate right now . MSRP for a fully loaded 1M is $54,500 i believe

I talked with the dealership in Iowa, they sold for premium, 5,000 above. Not saying this is my taste, but who is willing to pay is up to them. Should blame BMW just seducing the fans by a limited Production-edition. Come on, it is not a CSL!!!!

Soo...you are selling your "rights" to recoup your nonrefundable deposit. Then, the new buyer would pay $60K for the vehicle. Is this correct? How much to purchase your rights? Even if someone purchases your rights, does it guarantee the dealer will sell it to them. Last I checked, dealers can do what they wish until the purchase order is completed.

yes that is correct. I am just trying to get my deposit back. If im not going to buy it, id rather give it to someone over on bimmerpost and get my money back. As of right now I own the car. I can do whatever I want with it. If you buy my rights, you will own it. The rights are worth my deposit which is $500. If i have a lot offers, best offer wins.

lol at "selling' the rights to buy a car. It has been tried before here and didn't work. Stop trying to make money off of nothing while attempting to appear to "help" another member out.
See this thread for instances of said attempts: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...568787&page=43

You put a deposit down of $500, which would be applied to the total price of the vehicle. Does that -$500 remain off the total price for the new buyer.

If you tell the dealer you don't want the car they should return your deposit to you after they sell it, which will most certainly be very fast. If they think you want the car and then you bring in another buyer that's not going to go over very well with the dealer. Let them know you want your deposit back.

I bought my car from them. They wouldn't sell me the car unless i took bmw select from them @ 8.15%. AND They added GAP insurance for $1700. WHen you get there to pick up your car they will ask you for even more money. WATCH OUT with them. They also will add a clear bra, paint sealant, etc for around $2800. Offer them $1000. THey will come down to $1400-$1500. |
