UK One of 450 plate

I have been lucky enough to pick up a cancelled order on an Alpine White 1M at a dealer in Newcastle. Purely by a chance phone call so I am extremely pleased. Just one small gripe having received an excellent service, the 1 of 450 plate that I have seen on the ashtray lid is missing. I assume that everybody else in the UK has these? Does anybody know if they are fitted as part of the PDC or at the factory?

I'm still awaiting my plaque having collected my AW 1M on the 5 Sep, my dealer has had to request it from BMW UK, quite why it isn't supplied and fitted (or handed over) during PDC is beyond me. Others on this forum have waited 2 months like me.

Mine wasn't fitted either and when I phoned the dealer they didn't even know there was supposed to be one fitted. Fair play though they had one delivered in a couple of days and I promptly slapped it on!

Incidentally mine was from a Newcastle dealer too, I'm guessing yours was the cancelled order from Lloyds?

My dealer ordered mine as soon as the car was delivered. Part number is B95.38.0.001.893 if it helps anyone.

I would see the plate first before deciding whether to get it stuck on the ash tray. It is not to everyone's tastes.

Think a number of UK car's had the plate added when they went in for the running in service...

Thanks guys, seems to be a common problem. I take the point about it not being to attractive. Would be better placed under the bonnet perhaps.
Yes, the car was from Lloyds at Newcastle, still only done 350 miles but thoroughly enjoying it. Very different to the R35 I came out of but just as much fun I believe.

For some reason it has to be ordered separately by the dealer and not all dealers twig it. You should be able to get yours for the asking.

I saw one fitted to the lower console and it looked better than on the ashtray tbh.
