Is this a good deal?

I am being offered this lease deal:

- 2500 down payment
- 538.73 first payment
- 725 acquisition fee
- 175 tax on the down payment
- 589.50 dealer fees
- 60 rental fee for lease?

payments are $538.73/ month for 36 months with 10k milees/ year

residual is 64% and money factor is .00195

This is based off a selling price of $44250

The car is configured this way:

2012 328i
Sparkling gray exterior
coral red leather
M sport package with paddle shifters
auto trans.
xm radio

so they are not paying your first payment for you? I am leasing a VW Jetta TDI and they paid my first payment. They take care of everything on the car as well. Leasing has its benefits. You lose your job or just can't make the payment you can get out from under the car a lot easier than a finance.

Don't even need to run the numbers to tell you that's expensive.

And only 10K miles.

The idea with a lease is to put almost nothing down. You may consider putting down MSDs (multiple security deposits) up front to lower your payments - you get that money back at the end of the lease. It's a pretty good rate of return, from what I've read.

Try another dealer ... also hit up Ryan Amico @ Steve Thomas BMW (GOLFFRR on the forums).

I'm guessing this is a coupe since the msrp seems to be around $44,625 with the options you mentioned.....and they are selling you the car at $44,250?

Tell them to talk a walk! That is the worse deal i ever heard of

Just for shits and giggles, ill run you some numbers here

MSRP - $44,625
Selling - $42,501 ($1K over Invoice)
36 months
10 Miles a year
MF - .00195
Res - 64%
Florida tax included in your payments

With $1,706 at signing (first month, bank and dmv) your at $581.62 a month
with $4,855 at signing your at $487.91 a month

I'm not even going to run the numbers on this one either. Don't take this deal. You could be doing MUCH better.
