Noob, mods?
Well I just got into a 2011 335i with the premium and sport package. I've looked around on a few sites and seen quite a bit about the JB3, JB4, and downpipes. My car is under warranty and from what I've read, just about any tuning done to the car will throw a code and void my warranty. What are some mods I can do to my car without voiding anything? I don't have a problem with removing them before I take it in, but is there anything else I will need to do to be sure I stay in my warranty? Thanks for any help!

Each sticker will give you 1HP, it it's nice and rainbow colored you'll get 5HP. Will not void warranty.

Haha! J/k
Yes, use the tune to clear codes, then remove the tune. This goes with mostly any mod, but as you expect a Downpipe would be a PIA to keep taking off. |

I have a giant NOS sticker that covers the whole rear window, and I put at least twenty moth balls in my gas tank everytime I fill up. Needless to say she's already quite a beast.
HAHA. joke. Seriously though, if I get and install the JB3 will I just have to plug it in for power then take it off before the dealership? Or do I have to buy something to erase the codes also?

I'm assuming that you have a N55 engine. If so, you can get the BMS JB3 N55 Stage 2 which would should get you about 350whp. It installs in probably 30 minutes or less, read/deletes codes, and has many other features. There is a lot things actually available for the N55.
Just hooked up a customer a while ago with JB3 N55 Stage 2, AFE Intake, AR Downpipes, Evolution Racewerks FMIC, and Rogue Exhaust and it's a beast! Check out the little video he made below: -Frank Last edited by ModBargains IV; 10-25-2011 at 02:06 PM.. |

When going in to the dealer for maintenance you can set it to map0 (JB4 off) and if going for major warranty work you can just remove it. Shoot me a PM if you need more advice or have any questions. Mike |
