Rear Seat cup holder?

I read in a magazine that the rear seat had cup holders. However, my 1M did not have but two square buckets in the middle of the rear seat.
Can anyone post pics?

After reading this I went to my car to check. My 1M is fully loaded (it has all the options that were available to be had for NA cars) and mine has no rear cup holders. So therefore I would assume that it is not a feature in the 1M and that you are either mistaken or the magazine you read was misinformed...or maybe its an option for non-US cars

Walnut rear seat cupholder

I almost never have rear seat passengers but I do woodworking as a hobby and had some walnut scraps so I made this up. It works but is only held in place by friction so you need to keep your fingers on your drink or it could still spill. I should probably pull the rear seat and see if there is a way to screw it to the seat. If you know a woodworker, you might get them to make you something like this. This is in my 128i convertible but I think your rear seat is very similar.

When I had my first MR2, a friend's very rich uncle wanted a ride in my car. He was smoking at the time, so I asked my friend to politely tell him that I didn't have an ashtray in my car (which was true). The uncle told my friend "no problem." His solution? He just flicked the ashes on the carpet.

I would have said something, but he was always very nice to me, so I just couldn't.

I hope my wife doesn't read that.
I'm still trying to convince her that there's plenty of room in the 1M for the family! LOL.

That looks like the cup holder out of my E46 330 just setting in the back. Not sure how stable that would be unless he screwed it down.

At least it doesn't have that weird scrotum looking armrest pass-thru thingy from the E92 M3.
