Making the n55 exhaust sound better

So, I've been thinking about buying the remus exhaust... I might be waiting until the next season to do this. For the time being, what other options are there for improving exhaust tone, and/or performance levels.
The few I searched results with: Downpipe, "Golftee mod", and muffler delete?

I don't even know if these would be the route to go..
Any suggestions or recommendations without buying a whole new exhaust until after the snow?

Do not get a muffler delete. You will want to kill yourself from the drone.

AR DP + golf tee is okay. It wasn't loud enough for me at all though. I got a DP before exhaust though, and if I had to do it all over, I would still get the DP. Even though I don't care about power, the power increase from a DP is nice.

Which golf tee were you referring to? The unplugging the module in the trunk or the zip tie one? Not to mention all the criticism that goes on about it recording garbage if you unplug that thing in the trunk.... which is why I hesitate. AR DP I guess is one thing I'll be looking to do.......

I unplugged the actuator plug in the trunk. You're worried about shadow codes? Trust me; the dealers couldn't give two shits about a shadow code.

I'm sorry for being ignorant... what is this shadow code? Any downsides or side effects (I don't think so)? What do I tell them if they find out?

I am running the full berk street system. Midpipes, axleback, downpipe. It sounds amazing and the performance came with it due to putting in a downpipe since Tune + Downpipe = biggest gains for the N55.

Also if you get the JB4 Stage 2 N55 Beta, it will auto delete all downpipe shadow codes for you automatically.

They're not the best videos since there's no WOT clip. I don't know when I'm going to get around to that yet.

Do you have xDrive? The secondary cats on my car might have had something to do with it.

Nope just the AR 4" catless DP. Thanks for watching the vid.

BTW just realized you have an xDrive - just getting rid of the secondary cats will open up the sound, so consider doing that (unless you plan to get a full catback exhaust ... in which case it would make sense to wait).

My recommendation: DP first. Then choose an exhaust based on how you want to modify that sound (if you even want to, lots of people are happy with just the DP).

Catless downpipes will make the exhaust much deeper. I love the sound of stock exhaust with cat less downpipes. Still retains the BMW classy no drone sound but much deeper and throatier.

Thanks man. I get compliments frequently at the track - I am in love with the sound.
One guy came over to me last event and told me his instructor said "damn that sounds awesome!" when I passed them on the straight at full throttle.
My only complaint is the insanely loud cold start. I'm looking into coding it out.
