Hey guys, it all sounds normal to me and my cars been doing it since day one, but I wanted to check...

when I press the push button to turn my car off, it turns off and a slight rattling noise comes from underneath the engine... normal? writing this makes it sound like its messed up for sure but its a very slight somewhat metal rattling noise for a second

btw I drive a 6mt if that helps any

It's the dual mass flywheel. Every manual trans BMW has done it since the 80's Nothing to worry about.

He's talking about when the car is OFF.. The noise your talking about that sounds like engine noise is normal as well on manual transmissions. Push the clutch in and you will notice it goes away.
