12v outlet distance

I'm planning to do PCD next week and will be bringing my V1 with me. From what I've been reading the 12v outlet on the 1m is centered between the driver and passenger seat. I just need to know about how long of a power cord I should bring with me so that the V1 can mount on the windshield? Without it getting in the way of shifting. Would a 4 foot cord be long enough? Thanks.

I did choose the "smoker option" so I will get a 12v in the front. Also like that it include a cover so I can close it. (looks better)

You might need a tad more than four feet of cable.

I just measure my cable for my TomTom navi... I use 1.2m (3.9 ft) and I have a long windshield mount (about nine inches) so my Navi sits just above my center air vents. IF you mount your V1 at the base of the windshield, I think you will need more cable than I use. Take some zip ties(with you) or a rubber band to take up any extra cavle slack(if you have any!).

I have posted this in some other thread but I see so many owners have trouble getting the 12V so I will post it again.

Although I have the smoker package, I did not want the adapter for my Garmin navi sticking out from the socket, I made another sockets in the passenger foot well.

I used something like this to connect to the distribution box behind the glove box.

I used No.9 fuse to get the positive and the bolt near the distribution box to get the ground.

The finish look is like this. It is switched and have three sockets. The black box on the floor is a trash box.

It is a 30 minutes job so if there is no socket in the front, why not make one?
