HELP!!!
hey guys got a couple problems, was receiving misfires about a month ago and i replaced all the plugs with oem bosch. fixed the misfires, now i go to start up the car this morning, about 37 degrees out and the car starts stuttering and shaking. for the past week or so ive had kind of a low idle but nothing like this.
i have jb4, dci, catless dp's checked the codes and came up with 29CD Misfirings, cylinder 1 29CF Misfirings, cylinder 3 29CE Misfirings, cylinder 2 29F1 Fuel pressure, plausibility 29CC Misfirings, several cylinders 0000 Failure location not implemented could bad coils cause this? maybe the hpfp? i had the hpfp recalled when i first bought the car 2 years ago at 20,000 miles, right now it was 50,500. and ran out of warrantly just over a month ago.

I ask because the fuel pump plausibility will show when the car is not running... |

i cant start the car long enough to get the codes, i turn it ON without engine running and read the codes. also guys i just called BMW and they said my car does not fall under the recall list. but when the hpfp went out a year and a half ago they replaced it but my car was under warranty then. The SA says that they carry a 2 yr parts warranty on everything they replaced. But i will have to cover towing costs to dealer and pay diagnostics fee. He said if it is the hpfp problem they will replace it and i will not have to cover towing or diagnostics fee.

its really cold out, that light smoke at idle could be anything... also, the HPFP has a 100k mile-ish warranty, so expect you should be good, either way

i took that video when it was about 55 degrees out. i also ordered new coils from a member at a good price since thats what bmw keeps telling me to do.
bmw said they will pay for towing charges, diagnostics fee, and labor if it is in fact the hpfp otherwise im stuck will all the charges including whatever parts i need. not sure if its worth it to pay 300 ish dollars just to diagnose the problem or if I should try some steps myself first? any ideas what i should do?

seeing as how i have several misfires and not just 1 cylinder, from what ive been told i need to start at plugs, then go coils, then injectors...when i originally had my misfires a month ago i swapped coils and the misfire stayed on cylinder 5, but then after new plugs 1 month later i have misfires on all cylinders.

If it is a hpfp it has a 10yr/100k warranty on it. All N54s do

BMW should replace your HPFP parts and labor included up to 120,000 miles regardless of warranty...try a different dealer. I just had mine replaced with just under 100,000 miles, no questions asked (not a CPO!). The only thing that didn't fall under the recall were my injectors (not from the "correct" time period) and my software already had the most recent update.

+1 for AAA, just have some 2x4's ready in case your car is low and they bring a flat-bed. The dealer didn't need to diagnose anything in order to replace the fuel pump...I actually threw the code AFTER I scheduled the recall appointment (good timing, right?)code29F1 Fuel pressure plausibility, uninstalled my AP and it went away. tried to give the service rep the code but he said they didn't even need it.
they replaced my pump with the updated version, and the lower side fuel line with a stainless steel one. it was close to $500 just in parts but I walked out the door with a freshly washed car, a full courtesy inspection, and a $0 bill. keep in mind I'm waayyyy out of warranty. If the coils don't remedy your issue I highly suggest doing this.
