Accesories with PCD

Are any accessories provided with the PCD? I thought I read a couple months back that the BMW 1M embroidered carpeted floor mats were included. I was thinking about ordering these from my dealer, but wanted to make sure they weren't provided with PCD before I do so.

They are not included with the car. The can be ordered at the dealership. Some have had them included with the car, but it is where the dealer threw them in. I have both the ///M mats and the rubber mats for every day use. Also, you can get the rubber trunk liner too.

there is mixed opinion on this then. I've been reading PCD DOES include 1M mats.

I requested them from my CA, he didnt respond (typical with him).

But, I think PCD will put in whatever mats "match the interior of your car", then charge the dealer. To me, that means 1M mats.

If they are not included when I get there on 11/17, Im gonna make a (little) stink. Partly because I didnt get ANY mats during ED. I hadnt realized it until I was in Austria....

My understanding is that if you're doing PCD, they will install the ///M mats for you and charge your dealer. I think this is confirmed in the PCD FAQ.

If your dealer agreed to throw the floor mats in then there should be no cost to you.

Hi,

I had PCD last Friday of my 1M, it had no ///M mats installed, I think it had some black mats instead. Will keep these for winters, and buy a set of ///M mats for the rest of the year.

GL.

Like others, I was under the impression the "vehicle specific" (1M mats w/ orange stitching) mats were included with PCD and charged to the dealers parts dept.

I got standard black mats with ED. I am hoping to get the 1M mats with PCD, but I guess we'll see.

Just talked to my CA about the issue. I went ahead and ordered the trunk mat and the rubber floor mats, but held off on the 1M mats because they were unsure whether they were included with the PCD. If they are not, I'll go ahead and order them afterward.

Garage List
I picked mine up at the dealer a week ago Saturday and they said that they could not get the M mats any longer. They were planning to include them but could not. My CA and the Sales manager were very apologetic and they gave me the regular black mats and a set of BMW luggage instead. No charge.

I just picked my car up at PCD. I did not order mats but PCD put some in, they were very plain black 1 series carpeted mats. No orange stitching.

Did you see the PCD FAQ sticky thread at the top of the page? You really aught to read through it. There's a lot of valuable info. I answered your question about the floormats in thread reply #68

Like robertm has stated; they are then back-billed to the dealer, but as far as the end purchaser is concerned...mats are always "included" for PDC deliveries. I've had numerous discussions with Ginger at PCD about this, and I am very intimate with the process.

To the OP: To be ABSOLUTELY sure that you'll receive 1M mats in your car at delivery, you must call Ginger prior to your arrival. She will make sure to speak with the parts manager and ensure that they are in stock [at PDC] for your delivery. They've been backordered recently. IF they are NOT in your car (and you just see black mats, with no "M" logo) talk to your delivery specialist. Ask if they have them currently in stock. Tell them to ask for Ginger (since you already called her ahead of time). If they DO NOT have them in stock, then you will need to make a choice. A). accept the black mats that will be "included", or B). give the black mats back to the PDC and they will ship you the 1M mats when they are in stock, C). pay for the black mats separately as a set of spares, D). purchase a set of rubber mats (which I've done), until your 1M mats arrive at your home.

That's the process. If you have questions feel free to PM me. I will help you further.

And actually robertm, PDC requires that dealers pay for the mats regardless if the dealer "wants" or "agree's" to with the end consumer. The end consumer receiving the car should always be presented with floor mats. I'm not sure when they changed this, but this is what Ginger informed me when I was scheduling my PCD trip.

No, ED cars get the black mats they got during ED at no charge to the customer or the dealer. Totally free.

PCD provides mats and charges the dealership which may in turn charge you.

My dealer charged me for mats and I instructed them to fed ex the orange stitched mats to PCD for me. My car was ED so PCD wouldnt have given me mats had they (the dealer) not sent them via fed ex.

From Ginger this morning

"Previously many US vehicles did not come with floor mats.

Now vehicles are equipped with mats from the factory.

Typically these are plain black carpet mats for 1Ms

We now install the mats the vehicle is equipped with from the factory.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Ginger

PC Delivery Team"

So I just asked how do I get the 1M mats. Waiting...
