LUX H8 V3: Another happy customer!

I know the price is kinda steep on these but if you want the 'new' style LED look that BMW is introducing on their newer model vehicles, the LUX H8 V3 are the way to go.

As most of us know, the stock halos in direct sunlight, the out rings are practically invisible while the inners are adequate brightness the color is just the wrong temp.

I took this with my iPhone with no sun and at dusk in the rain.

Is this anywhere near as bright as the new BMW angel eyes, or even the after market HID kits available for the e9x m3?

I was a bit curious, but not curious enough to do some research.
Why not simply get the new 1 series' OEM bulbs so they are an EXACT match of the "new" headlights?

Install is kinda tricky on the 1M but you can definitely DIY if you have patience. The hardest part is finding a correct spot for the resistor boxes so they don't interfere with the dynamic headlights and aligning the bottom tabs when re-installing the cover on the passenger side so it closes properly and is watertight.

They are definitely worth it IMHO; they look great and I even had a couple of people comment positively on them in beantown.

+1 for the LUX V3's. I have them for a few month now and they look great. No issues what so ever.

Either a skilled steady hand and a sharp pry hook or the more robust order of euro versions. They are not glued in, but I have not seen or heard about anyone that removed them from a US headlight

Since i've had these lights installed on my car I have noticed that when starting the car the angel eyes both flicker for about 10 seconds and then go off.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've had a fault with the passenger side (RHD) DRL on three occasions, which goes away when I turn off and on the DRLs via iDrive. Anyone has had any issues like this?

Looks awesome

But I think Lux angel eyes are way overpriced.. I would never buy a LED solution for that kind of money. I will get a xenon kit instead, same price as the Lux but brighter

I'd consider this, but afraid of the power module interacting poorly with adaptive headlights.

they are not the cheapest, but I'm happy with mine !
Installation took me 30 min. I was struggling putting the Lux bulb back in at the passenger side... But just be patient and it will be OK.
They look awesome. No errors here.

DIY tread on LED AE's please?

Did you build in a dissipative load or disable the relevant bulb warnings?

Why not just buy the BMW OEM bulbs and get the exact same look that they're supposed to come with?

Because they're supposed to look like a dull amber. Thus the mod.
