Pedal placement for heel-toe
Guys, I\'m still only a couple of weeks in, and I will admit it feels more natural every day, but I feel like the distance between brake and throttle isnt perfect for heel-toe. Ideally, they would be a little closer, and if I was really picky, closer in height at rest position. Has anyone played around with adding an aftermarket pedal to the throttle to bring it up and over a little?
Like I say, I\'m getting more used to it, but it\'s not instantly natural. Appreciate any thoughts. |

For me, the distance is fine.
especially I did the 1200 mile service and turn on the M button the first time. heel and toe is A LOT easier than before.

Heel and toe works a lot better with the M button engaged. The blip only needs a slight dab whereas with the M button off the blip needs more of a shove on the throttle and I find that this makes the over servoed brake pedal too touchy. This is at lower speeds of course, at higher speeds there isn't a problem. I don't find the distance across the pedals a problem so much as the height difference between the brake and throttle. I do think it is something that could be made to work better with adjustable pedals. Unfortunately the 1M does not have this feature. Porsches have this down to a fine art in their cars with heel and toe so easy to perform at any speed you don't even have to think about it. Another car is the MX5, brilliant pedal / gearbox setup that works so intuitively. I wonder if a race shop could do a mod of the pedals? I'll look into it.

Totally agree with above. The height of the pedals are more of an issue than the spacing. Look into ultimatepedals.com. They make really nice custom pieces. You can get various extended pieces for the perfect placement

for me stock pedals are just perfect ! M-button helps indeed.
Maybe repositioning your foot is the cheapest (better ?) solution ? There's different heel-toe techniques, so maybe you have to adapt your technique to the one that's better suited for the 1M's pedals ? Trial and error will lead to succes ! |

My preference is that the brake and throttle pedals are the same height, during heavy braking (not at rest).
