Z4/M Coupe Car Cover
Does anyone have a OEM car cover they don't need? I'm looking to let my coupe rest for a while as I continue to use my MR2 as my daily beater

Believe me, I would LOVE to drive the Z4M 24/7. But it just doesn't make sense to put on needless mileage nor wear & tear if I've another fun car to beat around on a daily basis :P
Investment-wise the Z4M is still doing really well. I suppose I'll treat it as such in case of a rainy day down the road if for whatever reason I fervently need some money in the bank. Whereas the MR2? It's not worth much at allnow haha sad but true. I suppose I'll just use the Z4M for (the now only occasional) track days, spirited drives, and/or dates out with the gf(s) xD |

I just bought a new BMW cover from the dealer today. They have 15% off right now.

Indoor or outdoor storage? I store my in the garage all winter and got a cheapo $20 cover from Walmart. It ain't pretty but does a good job protect the car from dust and accidentally scratches... I don't see the need to spend hundred of dollar for a car cover with a BMW emblem on it

I unfortunately need a cover for outdoor use because I onlyhave access to half of the two-car garage. The other space is in use already by my third car. I had a cheapo cover for the MR2, but it's not very goodat keeping moisture out.
The MR2 can't be parked outside because moisture from overnight parking unfortunately gets into the distributor cap and rotor, and in turn the car can't create sufficient spark for operational use. The car will sputter and want to die. Pretty annoying issue with such an old car Therefore, the Z4M will have to stay outside, and also why I want to buy a nice NOAH cover for it. I had a NOAH cover for my E46 3-series back in the day, but after some house cleaning, I have no idea where my family stored it ;( |

Yeah, you will need a really nice car cover for outdoor use. Couple months ago, there was a guy on my local Craiglist had an OEM outdoor for $90 (but i did not buy it because i wanted an indoor one).

The first cover I had for the wife's Roadster was a Noah (for a Merc SLK, it fit....and was free....) then I bought a Subrella. (I think it was a Subrella, I'll have to check). It is good but it is not as soft as a Noah. Today, I bought the BMW Noah. Much better. And the wife thinks it is way better looking.
You will always get some moisture underneath. Unavoidable. I always put a couple of good coats of sealer and wax on just before the winter and it gets covered. No difference between the Roadster and Coupe as far a covers go. |

I paid $185.00
No shipping charges since it was a local dealer. I was up there just to pick up some 10W60 and a filter and saw them on the shelf. Asked for a price and walked out the door with it... Fits like a glove and has a plastic window in the rear so you can see the license plate. It also comes with a storage bag (made of the same Noah material) attached to the cover so you cannot loose it. When I put it on the car just now, the bag acts like a second blanket over the rear. On the coupe it would be over the rear window. All in all, a pretty top shelf product. I know some individuals go cheap on this kind of stuff, and some do have a habit of spending a lot of green for go fast parts, but skimp on quality stuff that keeps it looking good. |

Hah thanks for the pic. I was already planning on the NOAH cover (and nothing less) because I remember the quality of the NOAHs from my E46 :P
It's just down to a matter of pricing now. I'll keep looking out for anything cheaper than $180 |

Damn...I should've gotten one last year or something. Didn't think I'd need one at the time
I'm going to try and get my local stealershit to beat $181.12 SHIPPED, which I was quoted from one of those Tischer-like online BMW parts stores. Quote:
In any case, I don't see a problem with a nicely detailed M under a nice NOAH cover, with battery unplugged I'll bring out the secret beastie weapon when the world needs to be saved. My M is like my Bumblebee from Transformers |

If you have a little bit of time to do some searching, try craigslist (all of the regions on craigslist). If you do a google search you will find plenty of ways in which you can search all of them at once.
I was able to pick up a like new NOAH cover and OEM sunshade for $120 shipped.
