RAI Motorsport is looking for a 135i/1M for custom exhaust
Hello 1addicts!
www.raimotorsport.com My names George Cannon and Im representing RAI Motorsport. Were a shop located in Dundalk right outside of Baltimore, roughly 15 minutes from the Harbor. We are a full European Performance and Maintenance facility with a full Fabrication division. Mustang 500 AWD dyno in house! Currently we offer downpipes and exhaust systems for MK4-MK6 VW and B5-B8 Audi's. We also have tubular manifolds and big turbo solutions for MK4-MK6's and the B5-B8. RAI Motorsport would like to get an 135/1M into the shop to fabricate a full exhaust system In house to show the BMW world what we can do. The car would need to be dropped off at our shop and we would need it for roughly 2-3 days to remove old system, fabricate new system and install and weld. We use ONLY T-304 Stainless steel and everything is hand tig welded in house. We can offer a LARGE discount on labor and our cost on parts. Pricing can be discussed at time of drop off and we would love to show you around the shop! Some of the work/ projects we mess with.. |

I could be interested in doing this. But I wouldn't be able to do this till December 9th. I'll be gone a little more than a week and I would be happy to drop off the car for a week then.

Sounds great. Very tempting... Can't send you a PM so I'll post some questions here:
By full exhaust do you mean downpipe replacement as well? What type of system are you going for (i.e. loud race exhaust or streetable)? I assume you will dyno the system before and after?

I believe we will start with cat back since we are running this for 135 335 and also M3. The market is flooded with n54 downpipe so most likely we will be doing a set of mid pipes as well. If our market is then there we will be doing downpipes but none of this is set in stone. We are currently trying to sort out one of each car to have in the air then get all necessary pipe lengths and flange sizes to do the systems. So we are going to map it out as we go.
The systems can be mostly customized i.e. straight mufflers/no mufflers resonators but again its mostly going to be one the fly. Yes we plan on doing before and after dynos for all the systems we make since we have a in house dyno. Sorry if this is not a very clear answer but these are all going to be prototype systems, and we would like to be able to make each customer happy. -Cannon |

I have an N55 motor...would that be a deal killer for you guys? I was hoping more for a downpipe section of the exhaust tbh
