Carking splitter review

Ordered my painted splitters along with the lid spoiler off of Brad. Here is my review;

1. Communication, always responded within 12 hours. A

2. Shipping, this guy ships by air. 3 days to my door from Taiwan. A

3. Paint Match. Perfect. A

4. Fit. Almost perfect. A-

5. Finish. Brad, you need to think about beading and finishing the edges. The mounting tape came with leads cut, very helpful. B+

6 Overall Value. I spent a little time finishing the edges myself. Considering the price I have no problem with that. All together a great deal. A-

Next week, the spoiler.

What did you do exactly?

I ordered a set from Brad too. The passenger side fit nicely, but there is this gap on the driver's side, I can not push it in. For $200 I'm not too sad though.

The part shown in WJ4's photo needs to be finished. That edge is totally exposed.

I sanded the edge smooth, then put about 8 coats with the touch up paint from BMW, sanding between coats.

I had that same problem with the passenger side. I ended up taking that side off. I scraped the tape off and replaced it with some 3M tape.

I mounted the wheel well side first and rotated the splitter up as I peeled the tape and pressed it on, moving towards the other end. I peeled the bottom strip of tape off last. Also, I added a 2" piece of tape on the top portion, towards the top corner helped. Really helped get rid of the gap.

Magna-how long did the process take? I'm thinking of going to an auto shop to get mine fixed if the rate is somewhat reasonable. Thanks.

Nice! I just got mine from Brad too!

Here's my pic:

Did you guys have trouble getting the bolts back into place?...I think they're too short. I didn't even put them on yet. Plus the 3m tape for the sides aren't really that strong...so I put some of my own. Other than that, it's great fitment + paint.

Any suggestions on the bolts though?

I spent a few days doing it. If I had to do again, I'd round the outer edge and repaint the top half.
