Is this Normal?

When i step on the gas and go up to high rpms and let off i hear a whining,is this just the turbos winding down or are they going bad?

I've always wondered the same, when I floor it and each gear reaches maximum RPM, I hear the same sounds you are referring to.

I too have heard this, however, I don't remember hearing this in the past. I have 59k on the odom.

Never noticed, but on my bro's Nissan truck it was a sign of the timing chains having gone bad (or at least the tensioners)...

It only happens when I drive and I don't think the noise is loud enough but I can try tomorrow.

I agree. I don't think it would be loud enough to pick up on video, but it's worth a try.

I hear it too. I'm at 68K miles.. You have to floor it, hit redline, and then let go of the gas in the next gear when it happens for me...
