BMW jack plates
I want to remove the plastic plates at the jack points. They don't fit my jack or my jack stands, and they just reduce the clearance, making it harder to get my floor jack in there.
I couldn't find any screws - it looks like they're just pushed in and held by friction. I can't get any good leverage to pry it out without putting pressure on the plastic underbody cover. Does anyone know a good way to remove these?

You might cause unintended consequences. Some people believed that missing jack plates on the previous gen 5 series caused wind noise at highway speed -- kind of a hum.

I took a ~1" thick rubber piece an cut it so that it fits nicely inside the plastic jack plates. Now I can use the "standard" jack I bought to raise the car.
