Gas MPG for JB3 stg2
Hi, i was wondering if anyone noticed sudden drop of MPG when the moved from stage 1 to stage 2.
when i had the jb3 stage 1, it was almost the same(if not the same) as my stock mpg, but i recently installed jb3 stage 2 and I see that the gas mpg dropped by like 4. I did drive very short distance here and there but i was doing the same thing when i had stage 1. any ideas? |

I cant speak from going stg 1 to stg 2 but stock to stage 2 I saw a drastic reduction in MPG.
It's somewhat believable because with the added power I'm 100% driving like more of an A-hole around town but it feels a bit nuts that driving 35-40 miles to/from work ends up costing me a 1/4 tank of gas. Not complaining though, I'll take the power over MPG any day. Trip computer still shows an avg MPG of about 16-17MPG... |

I went from stock to STage 2. I lost about 2 MPG. I think it's because of my crazy driving. SImilar to dude above. I try to be as safe as possible, but on freeway onramps I am pushing it pretty hard, and passing strongly on freeway when there are safe gaps.
SO, I doubt it's worse mileage, just style of driving. I think I was getting around 21-22 without tune, and about 19-20 with tune. Your mileage may vary |

my mpg is directly related to how heavy my foot is....even if i baby it all day theres always one full throttle pull threw a couple gears...

I currently get about 28-30, give or take, on highway stock...
I wonder how much will change when I install my JB4 stage II..... Which should be here in two days..

I'm curious to see how much it drops, if any (under equal driving conditions on the highway). Let us know what you find out!

I resetted the clock right when i entered freeway. then traveled about ~32 miles and was stuck on traffic for 7 mins or so. but it averaged 32MPG! and then i resetted it again when i got off freeway then drove about ~8miles to home and got 25MPG. but this was with the can flap off. for some random reason, it felt like i got less MPG with can flap on so...(but i could be wrong, since I never actually tested it) |

It really depends. I'm FBO with Stage 2 and I've noticed I usually get about 21.5. On the highway I can easily get 28-30. Even if I'm in the canyon going nuts, it'll dip down to about 16 but always go up to around 19 by time I get home. It's really not that bad for how much power you get.
