335d 2011 adaptive headlight ?

i have a 2011 335d with following options: ZFU ZGM ZLH ZLJ
Do i have the adaptive headlight left to right? because it isnt working at all. I have xenon and when i start my car they go up and down but i never see them turning left or right.

If your lights don't move left to right when turning the steering wheel in the same direction (you can do this either while moving or while stopped), then you don't have it.

Make sure your headlight switch is on the auto position all the way to the left.

Have someone pull your VO and look for the adaptive headlamp code.

Dealer can pull it. Or if you know a local coder, they'll be able to do it too.

I thought all 335s (i, d, is) have xenons with adaptive headlamps?

You should bring it to the dealer and have them to check it out. Cause all of the 335d with sport or m sport will have the adaptive head light.

Do they? As far as I can tell I don't have adaptive lights. Auto level, yes, but not left/right when making turns. Unless I'm blind and can't tell the difference.

Edit: Quickly building my car to spec on bmw.ca and I see no mention of adaptive headlights. Adaptive brake lights, yes. But not headlights.

To the best of my knowledge it should have it. All US Spec 335 with the Sport or M sport Should have them. It doesnt say it on the us site as will but im 100% sure that us spec has it. You will know if you have it. It is more noticeable at slow speed like 15 mph i cant tell when im on the highway but i know it work. i was driving behind my brother one day and he say my head light were crazy the auto level was moving the light up and down pretty quick and when i hit the turn it was leveling and moving left and right at the same time. We were doing about 100-130 mph

Those are your fog lights. They will move if you steer left or right.

Mine has it. Like others said; It only works if the switch is in the auto positions (who thought of that?!).

The Adaptive Headlights cast their beam in the direction of the curve and ensure better visibility and more safety during night drives on winding roads.

Sensors measure speed, steering angle and yaw (degree of rotation around the vertical axis). Based on this information, small electric motors turn the headlights left or right so the beam falls on the road ahead, guiding you into the bend.

Headlight beam throw control (a model-specific function) means the front headlights are raised at high speeds and lowered at slower speeds, which results in a wider beam for inner-city driving.

The adaptive headlight range control (a model-specific function) takes into consideration the vertical curve of the road. The headlight beam throw control is lowered when driving over a knoll and raised when the vehicle is in a dip.

The result: every single curve is illuminated and the oncoming traffic isn’t dazzled unnecessarily. Driving at night is even safer, particularly when visibility is poor.

Adaptive Headlights are only active when the vehicle is pulling away. They stay switched off when the BMW is in reverse and when the steering wheel is turned to the left while the vehicle is stationary (e.g. when pulling out of a parallel parking ******* to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic.

Adaptive Headlights are complemented by cornering lights. These are automatically activated at speeds of up to 70 km/h and improve visibility in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle, which is useful when driving along hairpin bends, turning or parking.

oh yeah, I don't believe Canada had that option. Which is why your other projector has more of a blacked out look to it.
