My daughter is 11 but already 5' 4".

She wants a bike for xmas so I've been looking through my options.

I've lost all track of bikes in recent years but looking in local shops I've picked out a couple I like.

I think looking at discounted 2011 bikes give better value.

Can anyone suggest anything better? Which one of these two?

Well wait a minute.

On reading through adverts the above linked Giant seems a bargain so much so I've just ordered one.

They are offering the new 2012 model at £299 when it's £415 elsewhere.
