Pacific BMW 1M joyride

Sorry if this has been posted already, but thought it's worth sharing.

2 employees of Pacific BMW (LA) take a customer's BMW 1M for a rather enthusiastic drive and recorded the whole thing and then uploaded it onto youtube.

They have both been fired by the dealership and the police are also involved and the 2 are facing misdemeanor charges.

From the sticker on the steering wheel. It looks like the car hasn't even reached the new owner.

These will be some of the car's "delivery miles" !!! Which is mad.

But lets be honest, we all know this goes on. And the dealer principal knew full well what goes on also. It's just because the dickheads decided to public youtube it (Durrrrrr) that now they are getting chastised by management.

This is why many remap companies offer a valet map to a certain code or key etc, to stop the dealers raping your car.

Nothing new here than a pairof morons who managed to get video footage onto the internet.

It happens all the time, but an observation if I may. The guy driving the car was, in my opinion, actually quite smooth with it and was heel and toeing when needed on the downshifts. To be honest, I've seen far worse and ignoring the breach of trust/rules/policy etc, the drive would've done the car little or no harm whatsoever.

The big issue is the principle of the whole thing, which again, I assume, is why they no longer have a job.

Hi mate, as sportplus said. My old man bought an M5 a while ago and lets me drive it.

Carl,

The oil temp still looks like it's at 50 degrees or below, so no, it's not up to ideal temp.

When I was at school I got a job at the local petrol station. There was a Vauxhall dealer nearby that had an account and each car sold came down for a 'free' tank of fuel. Should have seen the driving!! Handbrake turns, wheels pins etc etc. A few weeks later the proud owner would come in to fill up their pride and joy. One pensioner once even told me how he was carefully running in his new car. Didn't have the heart to tell him!

If you worked at a dealership, knew you will probably never own a car like this new. Can you honestly say you wouldn't do the same? I know I probably would.

Reminds me of this from a couple of years ago.
Was suspected of being a bit of clever advertising for the Roadhawk bb recorder though...
