If this is how an N54/turbo sounds..why can't the N55 sound like this?

This sound is the best sound I have heard of on turbos. Pure sex. I've never heard of another N54 sounding like this though..and isn't the N55 supposed to sound better?

Has nothing to do with the n54/n55 being different. Its a commercial for their exhaust system.... $$$

The 335i has the Akrapovic too but it sounds nothing like the one on the video.

JDMHolic has one on his car. He's selling it. But apparently, when I posted this vid on facebook, one of my friends with a 1M told me the 1M in the video most likely has Akra exhaust, DP's, and mid pipes..which is why the sound is so intoxicating. Akra needs to make these parts for the 335i!

ahhhhhh I NEED THIS ENTIRE KIT! Sounds orgasmic! ... too loud for daily driving? i wonder what it is like cruising around town and if any drone on the motorway?

It definitely has DP's. I had my car with freaking exhaust out and only stock DP's and turbo whistle is almost non-existing. After catless dowpipes, however, it sounded like a diesel truck.

I went completely catless even removing thr rears cat's and now,the cat sounds amazing like a supra.

Op is comparing two different cars vs two different engines. 1er piping is completely different than 3er piping.

A well made video production always brings/highlights the best quality to any product.
lot of cross dissolves - the exhaust note is clean, subtle ambiance on the track,
tire squeals in some section have been foley'd in and mixed pretty well.

awesome video - i like it very much.

this N54 at full throttle sounds sik.
but i have to say the N55 doesn't sound to shabby -
sounds monstrous with catless DP and tune at full throttle.

Actually the n54 will sound better cause of the 2 turbos,but the sound is close.In person if you have a manual,it sounds much meaner and better.Hope this helps you,I have to make a vid of my car with it,plus I get some flames too at times.

You get your RB's on yet? Mine are lound as hell! Makes the turbo spool in this video sound like a toy car. The whistle at low RPM is loud!

Remember the n54 is louder (two turbos).lol.

Whats your opinion between the video and your setup?

My Vanguard exhaust just arrived at MAC today, so hopefully I can finally hear AR + Vanguard in person for myself sometime this week.

it will sound bit more bubble'er.
there will be a noticeble deep growl.

Car's in the shop. I also have them put in LSD, M3 suspension and a new clutch so it'll be a while
